Tanvir Bhathal

Hi, I'm Tanvir Bhathal

I'm a researcher and engineer focused on building products through applied research in language models and ML systems. I am currently pursuing my BS/MS in Computer Science (Systems + AI) and BS in Mathematics at Stanford University, where I do research at  Stanford AI Lab, co-advised by Chris Ré (Hazy Research) and Azalia Mirhoseini (Scaling Intelligence Lab). My research focuses on making intelligence abundantly available to all people. I've accomplished this through work on local inference, scaling test-time compute for verification, automated information retrieval benchmarking, and automated research. Outside of research, I am the President of the Stanford AI Club, where I organize events with cool speakers like Sam Altman, Jeff Dean, Chamath, Parag Agrawal, and more!

Currently, I'm doing research at Google, working on a new post training algorithm. Previously, I've worked at MetaAI's GenAI team, building their AI Agent Framework that handles millions of messages daily across the family of apps and at Brain Corp on AI solutions for their autonomous mobile robot fleet. I also worked at RapDevPro and ZibdyHealth, building iOS and Android apps for their respective products.

Things I've Built

A selection of projects spanning research, software, product development, a handful of small, older projects that were surprisingly fun.
